Here’s Our New Policy On A.P. stories: They’re Banned

I occasionally post quotes from news articles here, and wanted to spread the word about this…

The Associated Press has started demanding licensing fees and sending DMCA takedown notices to bloggers who quote stories provided by them, even though fall under “fair use” within copyright law.

So, like thousands of other bloggers- I will no long reference or link to any AP story, and I encourage everyone else to do the same. The AP is in the same circle of Hell with the RIAA and MPAA now, as far as I’m concerned.
