Bug 439858: swf mozilla plugin – no youtube
Was this really from Linus? Probably one of the funnier bug reports I’ve read in awhile. I should start trying to work humor into my own. Anything that affects my ability to get rick-rolled is easy fodder.

Microsoft wins vote on OOXML document standard
Microsoft wins vote on OOXML document standard – Yahoo! News
I WISH this was an April Fools Day joke.
Having ONE standard would be nice. Having one that isn’t a convoluted mess from M$ would be even better. Of course the rumors of dirty dealings surrounding this have been flying for weeks, so this could just be a plot twist in an ongoing soap opera.

Linux Declared ‘Hacker Proof’
Linux Declared ‘Hacker Proof’ | April 1, 2008 | AHN
What really surprised me was that the Mac got hacked before the Vista machine. It doesn’t surprise me that Linux is at least LESS hack-prone than the other two. I’m really bothered by the whole “Hacker Proof” declaration- since that just guarantees an all-out push by hackers to break Linux.
Of course- on a positive note- cracks in Linux are usually fixed within days, if not hours.
